Don't Mess with My Money We don't want to scare you, but here’s a stat that will blow your socks off: Every single day, 27,000 Americans become a victim of identity theft. That's almost 10 million people a year! Well, OK, we do want to scare you just a little if that’s what it takes to motivate you to take action. If you think ID theft happens to other people, you're only partially right. It does happen to the other person, but odds are it will happen to you at some point, too. Up until now, there was darn little you could do about it. But I (Daria here) have great news to share with you! It's not well-known yet, but things are changing as we speak. The three major credit bureaus are just now allowing us to take advantage of a brand new, much more powerful weapon to add to protect ourselves against ID theft. Also, we don't know if you heard, but car and truck sales fell 3% in September, marking four months of declining sales in a row, and the car industry could be looking at its worst year in the last decade. So dealers should be ready to deal. If you're like most of us, a trip to the car dealer ranks right up there with visiting the dentist to get a root canal. But we don't want you to worry.
