Avoid Being Overcharged on Your Cell Phone Bill!

Sometimes we're just TOO busy for our own good!

Case in point... when was the last time that you took a quiet minute to check out your phone bill IN DETAIL before paying it?

A lot of us may see a couple of bucks (or more) on our bill that we don't recognize, but don't take the time to check it out.

No big deal, right?

Yes... BIG DEAL!

TWO BILLION DOLLARS of hidden, unauthorized charges, so says a recent government report...

...$300,000,000 third-party charges on our bills every year!

The practice, known as "cramming," allows third party companies to attach charges to your phone bill to which you did not agree.

Too busy and too trusting are many of us.

The investigation found that there is a loophole in the law that allows for third party billing on cell phone bills by companies that provide such services as voicemail and paid-for 800 numbers.

Often customers don't know that some of these services for which they are being charged have been set up for them...and many providers aren't going to tell you unless you question them...SO...

TO AVOID BEING OVERCHARGED:

* Call your phone company and request that you "opt out" of all third-party billing.

* Check out your phone bills carefully EVERY month. If you question an unauthorized charge, it will often be deleted...but you have to ASK!

Cancel even the smallest charges because they can really add up!

* Don't supply your name and contact details for promotions... if a promotion interests you, carefully read the small print before even considering signing up.

Bottom Line: Money's tight. Don't become a "cramming" statistic!
