Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke was forced last week to admit that the economic recovery he's been touting has hit the skids. 

Our response: What took you so long? Any American can tell you that the economic recovery is still on life support.

I'm writing you today with a little straight talk about our economy (Daria here).

As anyone who has ever watched us on CNN, listened to our national radio show or visited Dolans.com knows, I'm not exactly know for holding my tongue.

I don't see the point. My job isn't to make friends. It's not to sugar coat the truth or tell people only what they want to hear. Ken and I have spent our careers telling people what they need to hear… what the politicians, bankers, brokers and other powers that be don't want you to hear.
