Does Uncle Sam Owe You Money? Millions in Unclaimed Tax Refunds

How would you like to find an extra $640 in your pocket?

Heavens knows, these days we all could use a few extra bucks.

Heck, with the way pricing are skyrocketing, that might even be enough to fill our gas tanks and afford a trip to the supermarket!

Well, the IRS has millions of dollars in unclaimed tax refunds--and some of that money might have your name on it!

Here's the deal...many Americans don't need to file a Federal tax form because, simply, they didn't make enough money in a given year although taxes were withheld on their wages or they made quarterly estimated payments.

More than 1 million such taxpayers did not file in 2007.

However, the IRS has just announced that half of those who didn't file that year are owed a refund of $640...or more!

Since you only have a three year window to claim a refund, the 2007 "deadline" is fast approaching.

If you don't file your 2007 return by April 18th...no refund!  Uncle Sam gets to keep the money.

You should also know that if you do file your 2007 tax return and are due a refund, the IRS will hold that refund check until it receives your 2008 and 2009 tax returns.

Time's a wastin'!

There must be something wrong with me because I feel if a person does not pay income taxes they should not collect a "rebate" or whatever you may call it from the Federal Government. That money was paid to the Government by someone elses hard work. I guess I am not very charitable.

Goverments were not meant to be charities. Charities are meant to be charities. It was never intended by our founding fathers for the gvt to take money from its citizens to be"charitable" to others as they see fit. You don't feel charitable, nor should you feel charitable! You should feel used and robbed!
