Big Post-Election Surprise Coming Your Way

It seemed like this election season would never end, but Election Day is finally here!

Yes, we know many of you are still casting your votes and we don’t yet know how things are going to turn out, but we feel completely confident making this post-election prediction anyway: Your taxes are going up!

Now, if you are wondering right about now if we have been living in a cave the last few weeks, don’t worry.  We know that the Republicans seem poised to take back control of the House of Representatives, and make inroads in the Senate.  And yes, we know that many Republicans have talked about tax cuts in one form or another.

BUT here’s the truth:

The real question is: Are we ever going to have genuine choices in American elections? Or just more posturing and a false choice between Conservative A and Conservative B unconvincingly claiming to be a progressive? Because as it stands now neither wing of the corporate billionaires' party is working in the interests of any American who doesn't have money coming out of their ears. American elections are as meaningless as those in military dictatorships but with a little more finesse and sophistication. That's not worth crossing the street to participate in.

Regarding cutting spending, how about axeing the two biggest money-losers in the universe, the useless energy resource wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? End both of them, get rid of the worthless redundant Dept. of Fatherland Security and cut the bloated defense budget so it's only equal to maybe HALF of the rest of the world combined instead of all of it and we're looking at some big savings.

And maybe consolidate some of the sixteen different intelligence agencies? How many does an allegedly free country really need?
