Retirement Planning Tip: Save Money with Senior Discount Offers

One of the simplest ways to save money in retirement is to take full advantage of senior discount offers.?

Retirement planning is trickier than ever.? Devastating investment losses and the housing market collapse have taken a huge bite of most people?s retirement savings.? One way to help that smaller nest egg go farther is to spend less money on the things that you enjoy in life?dinner, the movies, travel.

So get in the habit of asking for a senior discount everywhere you go.? And don?t wait until you are 65 to start asking!? Many places offer ?senior? discounts starting when you are just 50.?

Here are some senior discounts available.? One note:? these special offers can change at a moment?s notice.? Be sure to check with the businesses on this list to confirm the discounts listed.? The list is by no means comprehensive, so please be sure to ask for a senior discount everywhere you go.

Saving 10% here or a few bucks there may not seem like much, but over the course of a year, the savings really add up.? For example, if you go to dinner and a movie twice a month with your spouse, you can easily save $500 this year with these discounts.

It never hurts to ask, and it feels great to save money with an unexpected discount!

I think you guys are GREAT!! I have two comments to make: the senior discount at our Kroger, is 5% on Wednesdays only, as it is at Publix. Also, at Captain D's, Sundays and Wednesdays are Super Senior Days, 62 and over can choose 1 from any of 10 great meals, with a drink, for just $4.49, and if you want your old favorite, you get $1 off any menu item, on those days. These deals are where I live in Buford, GA. You can check their website. Thanks again for all you do! Denise
