I read online this morning that a widow in Florida is suing her mortgage company, claiming that the stress caused by their debt collectors killed her husband.
Over the years, Daria and I have talked to countless people whose lives had been turned upside down by aggressive--and often unethical--debt collectors. Harassing phone calls, threats and high pressure tactics are unfortunately common.
