GM Offers Money Back Guarantee
Just announced...General Motors is hoping to jump-start its road to recovery by offering new car buyers a guarantee. The nation's largest automaker needs to improve sales so it can repay billions in government loans and stay in business.
Running through Nov. 30, if you buy a new Chevrolet, GMC, Buick or Cadillac, and don't like it, you have 60 days to bring it back for a full refund, no questions asked.
Here are two important restrictions:
1. You must return the car within 31 to 60 days or purchase.
2. The vehicle must not have more than 4,000 miles on it.
3. You must be current on your payments.
The offer applies to GM's four remaining brands: Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac.
Both the Pontiac brand, which GM is phasing out, and leased vehicles are ineligible.
This campaign will pit GM's four brands directly against foreign competitors, focusing on quality, performance, fuel economy and design.
During a recent conference call...a former guest on our national radio show, Bob Lutz, GM's Vice-Chairman stated, that "GM must show that its cars and trucks are better than competitors' offerings."
