Things that make us feel good are seeing a boost in sales. You know, small ways that we can treat ourselves and escape from the grim reality for just a few minutes.
At the top of the list: lipstick and foundation. These small indulgences are cheap ways to feel good and treat yourself. We've seen this trend before. After 9/11, Estee Lauder found lipstick sales skyrocketed while sales on other products fell. L'Oreal says foundation sales are up 15%, lipstick up 3%.
