I have credit card whose limit is 9000, my balance was 7000 I was laid off so I was using this card that is why my balance increased. Then I didn't know they cut down my limit to 7500. I was at the grocery store and then the cashier said my payment was declined. Only then I found out from a letter they sent me that they had decreased my limit. Now I received another letter saying they will increase my rate more than 10% higher because I over spend they said above my limit. Is this allowed? Can I do something about this? Please help.
