Cut Your Own Hair

After watching my stylist charge me $20 (plus tip!) to cut and style my hair once a month, I decided I'd had enough. It took me a few tries to get it right, but now I kind of enjoy it!

The Dolans say: We admire Bob's decision. But ask anyone who has had a bad haircut ... not everyone is so lucky! Don't risk a hair nightmare by ditching your trusted stylist to save a few bucks.

Instead, cut your hair care costs by skipping the blow dry when you get your hair cut and you don't have any place to be afterward. Other ways to save: don't buy the expensive hair products from your salon, and earn discounts by referring friends and family to your stylist.
