#2: Bring Your Own Bags

This is one of our favorite tips because it has so many benefits. Bringing your own reusable bags not only helps the environment by keeping those nasty plastic bags out of landfills, it also protects your wallet, too. (Save even more money with our tips on going green!)

Just as importantly, bringing your own bags can save you money.  Simply ditch the cart and fill your bags as you shop. When you can’t carry any more, you’re done! By limiting the amount of stuff you buy, you will better stick to your list and avoid temptation items that can quickly add up to big bucks.

As an extra bonus, some stores even give you a small discount for each reusable bag you use. Saving money doesn’t get much easier!
