#3: Improve Our Schools by Putting Teachers to the Test

People love to say that “children are the future,” yet we don’t seem to hold their teachers accountable for keeping their skills up. We require this kind of retesting in many professions – nurses, stockbrokers, real estate agents – but not for something as important as teaching!

Mr. President, make sure our teachers remain qualified to prepare our children for their academic future by retesting them every two years.

We also hope you’ll do away with the concept of tenure at colleges and universities, and implement a merit pay system for those teachers who do a really great job!
