• Don't shop while hungry.  The Double-Stuff Oreos will be much harder to resist.
• Buy local produce.  Lower transport costs = lower produce costs for you.
• Give generics and store brands a chance.  A lot of times they are the exact same product as a brand-name version, with a different label - and a lower price!
• Mistakes happen.  Pay attention at the register and check your receipt before you leave the store.
