I’ll bet we’ve all shared a frustrating scenario.
You go online to find a bargain basement airfare and by the time you discuss it with your spouse, friend, child or whomever, the fare has risen $100 or more.
So you start your search all over again, sometimes with no luck.
Well www.farecast.com, an on-air prediction website, is hoping to save you from this frustration by offering a new service that guarantees you the cheap airfare will remain valid for a week or the company will pick up the difference.
This service is called “FareGuard” and should the fare drop even lower than the guarantee, you can then take advantage of the lower price. Farecast sends out a daily email tracking the status of the fare.
FareGuard tickets do come with a $10 surcharge, and at this time it’s only offered on half the fares listed on the site, but you may be lucky. And $10 is little enough to pay to have time to make your plans and possibly save $100.
